Hi, I'm Nicole
Meet Nicole McCance
I used to be you.
I was in private practice for 15 years. I loved what I did and felt honoured that I got to help people every day and make a decent living. After years of doing this, I was beginning to feel drained and sick of working evenings and weekends. There was so little time left over in the day to take care of myself or my family.
I am a mom of young twin boys, and wanted to provide them with an amazing life – but I also longed to be home more.
I needed to find a better way.
Creating the Clinic Growth Map for Ambitious Therapists changed my life – and it can change yours too
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it possible to achieve therapist financial growth?
Yes, therapist financial growth is totally possible! I was able to scale to 55 therapists in 3 short years by shifting away from just relying on back-to-back client hours and instead building a practice that supported my goals. When you dive into therapist business planning—things like delegating tasks that drain your time, building a therapy team, and finding smart ways to boost revenue—you can actually create a practice that is both profitable and sustainable.
Real growth happens when you structure your practice to work smarter, not harder. Plus, having guidance from someone who’s been there and knows the ropes can make a huge difference. Financial growth isn’t some distant dream; with the right steps, it’s a realistic goal that lets you do meaningful work without having to sacrifice your own mental health and dreams! Scaling to a group practice is the key to freedom.
Will therapist business planning help me build a successful and sustainable practice?
Definitely, therapist business planning is a huge key to building a practice that’s not just successful but also sustainable. It’s all about putting the correct systems in place to build a strong foundation for your practice that doesn’t rely solely on your time and energy every single day. With thoughtful planning like mapping out your growth, streamlining your operations, and even knowing when to bring in support, you are creating a practice that will run without you!
The truth is, a solid plan keeps you from hitting burnout and helps you reach your goals without constantly feeling overwhelmed. It’s the difference between just getting by and building a practice that grows with you. Finding the right roadmap (like the Clinic Growth Map) removes the guess work and shows you the way to get you to your freedom, time, and income destination much faster AND save you tons of money along the way.
How could therapist business planning change my practice?
Therapist business planning could be a total game-changer for your practice. Instead of constantly scrambling to keep up, business planning gives you a clear path to follow, helping you set goals and create systems that work for you. Imagine having processes in place that handle the day-to-day tasks, freeing you up to focus on what really matters. Whether that’s expanding your client base, leading a team, or simply having more time for yourself.
With the right planning, you’re no longer stuck trading time for money or feeling like growth is just a “someday” idea. You’re building a foundation that not only supports your current practice but allows you to scale smoothly when you’re ready. Therapist business planning helps you work smarter, avoid burnout, and truly create a practice that’s systemized, profitable, and aligned with your vision for the future.
Is it possible to achieve therapist work-life balance?
Yes, achieving therapist work-life balance is absolutely possible! The key is building a systemized practice that runs without you. With strategic planning, such as delegating non-clinical tasks, setting up efficient systems, and exploring marketing options that work while you sleep—you can create a practice that doesn’t rely solely on your time and energy to function.
Therapist work-life balance isn’t just about working fewer hours; it’s about freeing yourself from the constant hustle and making space for the life you desire. By focusing on business strategies that support balance and sustainability, you can have a thriving group practice and time to recharge, connect with loved ones, and pursue your dreams.
How do I know if I'm ready to prioritize therapist business development to reach my goals?
You’ll know you’re ready to prioritize therapist business development if you feel like you are meant for more. If you’re feeling a pull to move beyond just “keeping up” with client sessions and start building something more sustainable. If you’re constantly juggling tasks, have no time, or notice that certain goals (like expanding your practice or having more time for yourself) keep getting pushed aside, it might be time to invest in your business.
If you’re here I’m sure you’ve realized that therapist business development doesn’t just happen by itself. It takes time and commitment. If you’ve been feeling burnt out and ready for change then you’re ready to stop working IN your business and start working ON your business. It’s time to dive into the strategies and planning that can take your practice to the next level!
What steps should I take to achieve therapist business development?
To truly achieve therapist business development, one of the most impactful steps you can take is finding a business coach who’s already achieved the success you’re aiming for. You want to find someone who understands the unique challenges therapists face in our super regulated field. A coach (like me, your business bestie) can guide you with a step-by-step roadmap that’s proven to work, so you don’t have to struggle as you go.
With the right coach, you’ll have guidance for setting clear achievable goals, the accountability you need to take action, and the support you need to navigate obstacles. A business coach will help you reach the finish line much faster! If you’re ready to reach your next level, investing in a coach who has “been there, done that” will be a game-changer.
How could therapy business mentorship support my growth?
Therapy business mentorship could be the key to reaching your next level of growth. With a coach who understands the ins and outs of building a successful practice, you’re not just getting advice—you’re gaining a proven, step-by-step roadmap that’s already worked for someone else in your field (and over 700 other ambitious therapists across North America!) working toward the same goals as you. Instead of dealing with all of the trial and error alone, you’ll have guidance on everything from client retention to scaling your team all tailored to your specific goals.
A coach can help you see the bigger picture and keep you accountable to your vision, so you’re not constantly caught up in day-to-day tasks. They’ll support you in navigating obstacles and making strategic decisions. Ultimately, therapy business mentorship helps you build a practice that’s not only profitable but also aligned with your values and sustainable for the long term.
How do I know if I'm ready to invest in therapy business mentorship?
You’re ready for therapy business mentorship if you’re tired of feeling stuck. If you’re tired of working evenings and weekends, trading your time for money only to hit a ceiling in your income. If all you want is for someone to take you by the hand and guide you through the exact roadmap you need to scale your practice then you’re ready to invest in a business coach.
Are you:
- Feeling lost around how to scale your practice because we didn’t learn anything about business in grad school!
- Sick of working evenings and weekends and hitting a ceiling in your income
- Want to systemize your practice so it runs without you
In my 6-month business coaching program I give you a proven roadmap, so you can avoid guesswork and get the results you’re dreaming of.
When you’re ready to make intentional growth happen—rather than leaving it to trial and error—investing in a coach who’s achieved the success you want can be the exact move that takes your practice to the next level.

It's time to take your own advice and live the life you know you were meant for.
What Others Are Saying

My time in CGM has been transformative! I have really systemized my practice, which has increased my revenue by a monthly average of 55% and consult calls have also increased from 3-4/mth to 30+!! I hired 2 new therapists to my team to round it out to 10 therapists and 1 intern and hired an admin which has taken SOOOOO much stress off my plate. Having support through all the struggles of growth has been priceless.

Since joining the CGM team, my business has completely changed. I started off solo and saw 29+ clients a week with immense pressure to see as many clients a week as possible to maintain my financial goals. Now, just 6 months later, I have three incredible clinicians, a clinic operations assistant who is my right hand, and a social media manager who takes care of all online marketing for my practice. I now see around 20 clients a week yet I am earning significantly more than I was before. I am also only just getting started, and because of the foundation created in the program I feel like I can reach for the stars and actually reach them! All of this is only possible because of the CGM roadmap and the endless support, guidance, and mentorship provided.

I went from a small company with 3 Independent Contractor Therapists, to a completely virtual wellness clinic with 7 Independent Contractor Therapists, a Naturopathic Doctor, and a lovely admin team. I am thankful I took the leap and signed up for this program, and I have no regrets!

The investment has more than paid for itself. I have grown from a solo private practice to 14 therapists (4 interns). We currently see around 100 clients/week and that number is going up incrementally. We have a beautiful office space, a professional website and processes to help things run smoothly. I never could have done it without the guidance I received from Nicole.

Investing in the CGM program was one of the biggest game changers for our business. Prior to starting the program, my business partner and I had hit a ceiling in the income we could earn and the number of clients we could help. Very soon after starting the program, we had the tools and knowledge we needed to hire our first two therapists. Soon after that, we hired 3 more therapists plus an admin assistant. As a result, we have been able to work less clinical hours ourselves and focus more on growing our business while still earning the same amount (if not more!).
